About Northbridge Finance
Northbridge Finance is a trusted provider of financial services in New Zealand and offers personal loans of between $1,000 and $10,000.

We also welcome business owners and those who are self-employed and will use your bank statements to determine the loan amount which we can offer. We are a transparent lender and offer customers use of a loan calculator that will show you what your personal loan is likely to cost.

We offer personal loans, car loans and debt consolidation loans that range between $1,000 and $10,000 but, are willing to consider alternative loan amounts on a case to case basis. Our short-term loans can be used to buy a vehicle, pay for a wedding, refurbish a home or take the family on holiday - our loan amounts can be customized to suit almost any need.
Our rates and fees
Our personal loans carry a 17,95% to 28,95% interest rate and we charge a monthly administration fee of $15 which is included in the weekly payments. We tailor repayment to suit each individual customer by taking their income, pay schedule and budget into consideration. When applying for a loan we always recommend the use of our loan calculator - this will help you decide on what loan amount to choose based on what you can afford to repay.
Although we may offer you a different loan amount than the one you want, we will try to meet your needs and, we will consider your income and ability to afford the short-term loan as well.
Although we will run a credit check prior to making a loan offer we will not automatically disqualify you but, rather attempt to find a credit solution that meets your needs. You can choose to apply for a secured or unsecured loan from Northbridge Finance and, you can find a representation of the interest rates on our website.
No in-branch visits - Apply Online
Once you've decided on how much you need to borrow and whether you will be applying with security or without, you can then proceed to our application page. Our quick loan application can be completed online and we do not require customers to visit us in branch. Any documents that need to be signed and returned to us in its original form can be posted. Here you will have to fill in some of your basic details and tell us about your income, employment status and budget.
We require that you be 18 years old, an NZ resident and be employed full time or demonstrate some form of income via 90 days worth of bank statements. You will also have to provide proof of address and a photo ID so that we can verify your identity and proceed to process your online loan application.
What rate you'll be offered
Once we've received all of your information and supporting documents we will proceed to run a credit check before making you a loan amount offer and inform you of the interest rate that will be applied to your loan. The interest rate that you will be offered will depend on your financial status and on whether you have a guarantor and/or security available for the loan.
We will generally require that you earn more than $400 per week to qualify for a personal loan from Northbridge Finance. You are under no obligation to accept this offer and can decline at any point. If you accept our offer we can then proceed to send you a loan agreement which must be signed and returned to us in its original form.
